Assembly Programs & Career Days

We, at Absolute Music, have been participating in school functions for a number of years, teaching the children about different instruments, jobs in the industry, group playing and improvisation, as well as the science of music and how each instrument produces different sounds. We also discuss, and demonstrate, different genres of music; such as jazz, blues, etc. The program concludes with a hands-on period of time for the children to play the instruments! We will design an assembly program to fit your needs, and we will bring any musical equipment necessary. Our assembly programs and career days run throughout the year, and can be booked through the front desk. Please call for scheduling and availability. Click Here To See Pictures

A.C.T.S. Recital 2011

Absolute Music's 6th Annual A.C.T.S. recital played like a “Festival of Music”, as one guest stated. Over 130 students participated in more than 40 acts, performing all forms of music from Classic, Pop, and Christian rock to Heavy Metal. The students were joined on stage by our teachers, and our professional friends, including members of T.T. Quick, Skid Row, Scorpions, and Bon Jovi. The students' and players' spirit and dedication were evident in every act, making each song a truly unforgettable performance. We are proud of all who participated.

The afternoon also consisted of a buffet lunch, provided by Perkins of Hazlet, baked goodies donated by our student families, and a silent gift auction with guitars, amplifiers, gift certificates, and items donated by local businesses, and friends of Absolute Music.

Each year we choose a local charity to donate the proceeds to from the event, including ticket and t-shirt sales, the auction, and other donations. The RAINE Foundation was chosen again this year for its' continued dedication to community families throughout each year, and most especially throughout the holiday season. A check for $6500.00 was given to Patty Dickens of the RAINE Foundation.

Absolute Music would like to thank all those who helped make this event the success that it was, including family, friends, and "crew". Special thanks to members of the RAINE Foundation for "being there", and assisting the day of the recital. Thank you to Raritan High School, Hazlet, for donating the use of the school.

Congratulations to all who participated. We are so proud of all of you!!

Friday Night Jam

Each month, Absolute Music opens its doors to its students to come down and spend some time "jamming" with each other, under the direction of the staff. Friday night's at the studio will never be the same!! Students ranging in age from 12 to adult are found in classrooms putting songs together, teaching each other, and sharing their love for music. Teachers are on hand for assistance and inspiration. By the end of the session, each member will have learned one new song, performed it with their "bandmates for the day" for others to hear in the performance area of Bulletproof Studio. What started out as an idea to help inspire students to play together has turned into a monthly event that the students truly look forward to. Stay tuned to see when the next Friday Night Jam will be scheduled. For more information, sign-ups, etc. please call the studio. Click Here To See Pictures

Rock Band Camp

We hosted our second annual Rock Band Camp at Absolute Music Studio in July 2010. Several students attended a week-long program which taught them the mechanics of playing together in a band, amp and microphone usage, as well as learning new songs. A pizza party was included for all participants. The week ended with a showcase performance held in Bulletproof Recording Studio Performance area on site. Their hard work and dedication was evident in each song they performed. Family and friends in attendance were amazed at the level of professionalism of each performance. Congratulations to all who participated!! Can't wait for next year...
